Cylinders
The cylinders are made of high quality cast iron
and are molded with the crankcase. They are
directly in-line. A cooling water jacket is provided
between the cylinders and cylinder liners. The
liners are made of highly wear resistant special
cast iron. The inner surface is finished by honing
after being precision bored. The outer su_rface
is wrapped using anti-corrosive zinc banding.
Cylinder Head
The connecting rods are made of forged steel.
Piston p,n metals are made of lead bronze and

serrated to give greater rigidity.
Starting Device
The startIna device employs· compressed air

been provided; the circulation of the coolant is
good which precludes the formation of hot spots;
in particular, good cooling is provided in the
space between intake and exhaust valves.
Valves and their mechanism are all precision
manufactured. Cams, rollers and the like are heat
treated and finished by grinding. There are one
